Preparation and evaluation of high-performance modified alkyd resins based on 1,3,5-tris-(2-hydroxyethyl)cyanuric acid and study of their anticorrosive properties for surface coating applications

چکیده

Abstract By partially substituting 1,3,5-tris-(2-hydroxyethyl) cyanuric acid for glycerol as the polyol, new modified alkyd resins having a wide range of oil length and hydroxyl content were produced. FT-IR, 1 H NMR, iodine values, other characterization techniques used to confirm chemical compositions resins. The drying qualities synthesized significantly enhanced by adding greater quantity freshly prepared polyol excess –OH, along with improvements in flexibility, gloss measurement, scratch hardness, comparison unaltered resin (blank). corrosion resistance dried coated steel panels was examined using salt spray test. specifically designed binder, painted improved. addition which contains nitrogen components, well that provide strong adherence surface, may be responsible such an improvement.
